Omar Morales puntea el Latin America Amateur Championship

El Latin America Amateur Championship (LAAC) se desarrolla en el Santa María Golf Club, Ciudad de Panamá, Panamá y mañana domingo llegará a su fin.

A falta de 18 hoyos el liderato sigue en manos del mexicano Omar Morales con 203 golpes, 7 bajo par, rondas de 69, 69 y 65 impactos.

En la jornada de hoy, Morales registró el mejor score del campeonato tras emplear 65 golpes, 5 bajo par. Pudo ser mejor a no ser del doble bogey en la bandera del 18.

Su compatriota Santiago de la Fuente se ubica segundo con 206 golpes (69+71+66) y la tercera posición corresponde al colombiano Mateo Fuenmayor con 207 impactos (71+68+68).

Ya en el cuarto lugar a ocho golpes del puntero se encuentran Justin Hastings (72+71+68) de Islas Caimán junto al brasilero Andrey Xavier Borges (71+69+71).

Mañana habrá un nuevo campeón que tendrá la posibilidad de jugar el The Masters Tournament 2024 en Augusta National Golf Club, la 152ª edición del The Open Championship en Royal Troon y la 124ª edición del US Open en Pinehurst No. 2. También el ganador será invitado a participar en The Amateur Championship y el US Amateur de 2024, como cualquier otro campeonato aficionado de la USGA para el cual sea elegible.
