El Abierto de La Barra llegó a su edición 30

Durante tres jornadas se desarrolló en La Barra Golf Club la 30ª edición el Abierto de La Barra, el certamen más competitivo de la institución que reunió jugadores de diferentes países ya que fue evento puntuable del World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).

En la categoría scratch, el campeón fue Ramiro Pérez Orliacq con 209 golpes, 7 bajo par, rondas de 72, 68 y 69 impactos.

El jugador de Córdoba Golf Club aventajó por 18 unidades a Pablo Juan Carrere, el mejor uruguayo del torneo. Carrere cerró con 227 golpes, 11 sobre par, rondas de 73, 76 y 78 impactos.

En damas, fue una gran definición que terminó en playoff.

María Victoria Bargo llegó al desempate mejorando sus scores (78+75+70) día tras día, su adversaria María Paz Marqués realizó vueltas de 75, 71 y 77 impactos.

Ambas totalizaron 223 golpes, 7 sobre par y fueron a definir a muerte súbita.

El primer hoyo fue el par 4 del 10 y ambas empataron, luego fue el 17, uno de los mejores par 3 de Punta del Este.

Marqués mandó su golpe al bunker, mientras que Bargo acertó el green.

Con clara ventaja a favor de María Victoria, “Pachu” como la llaman sus amigas, embocó desde la arena y así toda la presión a su rival.

“Vicky” con temple y carácter embocó su putt de unos seis metros aproximadamente y al par 5 del 18.

Ahí Bargo supo jugar bien el hoyo y se quedó con el campeonato.

Ambas jugadoras demostraron que son de los mejor que tiene el golf uruguayo.

En la categoría “A” hasta 2.8 index hándicap, el triunfo fue para Félix Zamudio con 217 golpes (71+74+72), la segunda colocación correspondió a Martín Aizpurú con 220 impactos (72+78+70).

En damas, categoría “A” hasta 11.8 index hándicap, Carolina Mailhos se llevó la victoria con 225 golpes (75+74+76), el segundo lugar fue para Josefina Aguerre con 227 golpes (83+71+73).

En la categoría “B” de 2.9 a 7 index hándicap, el vencedor fue Alejandro Placitelli con 217 golpes (73+77+67), Washington Di Lorenzo terminó segundo con 220 impactos (73+73+74).

En damas, categoría “B” de 11.9 a 20.8 index hándicap, la ganadora fue María Victoria Monteso con 216 golpes (77+67+72), Josefina Tilve finalizó segunda con 220 golpes (75+70+75).

En la categoría “C” de 7.1 a 13.9 index hándicap, la victoria fue para Gonzalo Jodal con 214 golpes (71+72+71), Diego Torres logró la segunda posición con 218 impactos (70+74+74).

En damas, categoría “C” de 20.9 a a 54 index hándicap, el triunfo fue para María Damiana Ketelhohn con 228 golpes (71+76+81), la segunda colocación fue para Angelica Anchorena con 228 impactos (80+72+76).

En la categoría “D” de 14 a 19.9 index hándicap, el vencedor fue Alfredo Hitche con 224 golpes (75+79+70), Federico Slinger finalizó segundo con 229 golpes (78+66+85).

En la categoría “E” de 20 a 54 index hándicap, el ganador fue Marcelo Martínez con 219 golpes (72+78+69), la segunda posición fue para Marcelo Estape con 226 golpes (79+74+73).

El domingo por la noche se realizó la entrega de premios.
